Blooming brittlebush surround a large cholla cactus
A large cholla cactus is surrounded by blooming brittlebrush (Encelia farinose) in Saguaro National Park near Tucson, Arizona.
Saguaro National Park protects two wilderness areas right outside Tucson. Not surprisingly, the park has lots of saguaro cacti, but also lots of other cacti and wildflowers. Each spring the Sonoran Desert comes alive with color as a mix of flowering plants burst into bloom.
